CREATIVE MOVEMENT
This is an introductory class for children ages 2 ½ - 3 years old. Designed to develop children’s movement, expression, imagination, and classroom skills through dancing, singing and creative play. You will see improvements in children’s dance skills, coordination, and listening skills, and you will watch their imaginations flourish.
Attire:
Any style clothing that is easy to move around in and hair pulled back from the dancer’s face.
This classical form of dance helps build a strong foundation in each dancer. They will learn how to move gracefully using formalized steps and intricate patterns. Our ballet classes have a foundation in proper alignment, posture, and traditional ballet technique. The ballet class structure starts with technical Barre work, followed by patterned Center and Corner work. These classes will also teach dancers how to command the stage, be expressive, and grow as an artist.
Attire:
Ballet leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers, hair in a bun or low pony tail ( no hair in the face), optional – any ballet skirt
This is an American percussive dance form characterized by heavy, rhythmic steps performed to music, with distinctive up-and-down body movements.
Attire:
Form fitting dace wear with Clogging shoes and hair pulled out of the dancer’s face
This is a combination class of jazz technique with the funk and style of hip hop is a stylized and technical form of dance that focuses on placement, precision, strength, flexibility, and a ballet foundation combined with the use of rhythmic music.
Attire:
Form-fitting dance wear with jazz shoes and hair pulled out of the dancer’s face. Examples of form fitting dance wear: fitted shirt, leggings, or bike shorts
A mix of jazz and ballet in which there is an emphasis on expressing emotions and storytelling by the individual dancer. Classes will focus on a combo of techniques and choreography. There will be a strong focus on developing each dancer’s performance style and ability to “feel” the music.
Attire:
Form fitting dance wear with jazz shoes or bare feet and hair pulled out of the dancer’s face. Examples of form fitting dance wear: leotard, leggings, or tights.
